2015 NFC North Odds and Predictions

NFC North NFL Picks

The Green Bay Packers are big NFL Pick favorites in 2015 to win the NFC North for the fifth straight season.  The Packers boast one of the best offenses in the NFL led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers but that offense did take a hit in the preseason when wide receiver Jordy Nelson suffered a season-ending knee injury.  The Minnesota Vikings get Adrian Peterson back this season and they are the co-second choice to win the division this season along with the Detroit Lions while the Chicago Bears are the longshot.  Let’s look at all four teams, 2015 NFC North odds and NFC North predictions.

Green Bay Packers -325

Minnesota Vikings 5-1

Detroit Lions 5-1

Chicago Bears 21-1

Green Bay Packers

The Packers have a potent offense led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers but they are likely to take a step back this season without the injured Jordy Nelson.  The team still has Randall Cobb but they will need Davante Adams to step up and for someone else to take over the third receiver role so they will be hoping that Ty Montgomery or Jeff Janis is up to the task. The defense for Green Bay is solid led by Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers but there are concerns in the secondary as gone are Tramon Williams and Davon House.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are the hot pick to challenge Green Bay in the NFC North this season. They have a good young quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater, the best running back in football returning in Adrian Peterson and an aggressive defense under head coach Mike Zimmer. The offense also added Mike Wallace who should give Bridgewater a deep threat and the defense could be improved with the addition of Trae Waynes, Erick Kendricks and Dan Hunter.

Chicago Bears

The Bears have a new head coach in John Fox and new coordinators.  Much of the spotlight will be on offensive coordinator Adam Gase and how he handles quarterback Jay Cutler.  Gase features an offense that is pass heavy so Cutler will get a lot of work throwing to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and running back Matt Forte.  The bigger problem for the Bears is a defense that simply isn’t any good. They didn’t do much in the off-season to improve the defense so to win games they are going to have to win shootouts.

Detroit Lions

The Lions still have Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson but the offense with those two still isn’t anything special.  Stafford has yet to show he is a marquee quarterback and Johnson is starting to show his age. Detroit is hoping that rookie running back Ameer Abdullah provides a spark. The defense figures to take step back without Ndamukong Suh who is now in Miami.

10,000 metres, 110 metres hurdles, 400 metres hurdles, 3000 metres steeplechase, 4×100 metres relay, Marathon, 20 kilometres walk, 50 kilometres walk

Basketball has become a big event in terms of Summer Olympics betting ever since the “Dream Team” took the court in 1992. The United States has dominated the Olympics but shockers have happened in the past as Argentina took the gold in 2004.  That loss seemed to be a wakeup call for the U.S. as they have completely obliterated the competition ever since.  Basketball betting lines for the 2016 Summer Olympics will be on the board at the online sportsbook with future odds and individual games odds with sides and totals.

Golf will be held at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and odds will be on the board at BetDSI sportsbook.   It will be the first time golf has been an Olympic event since 1904.  The action will take place in the Rerserva de Marapendi in the Barra da Tijuca zone. There will be a men’s and women’s tournament.  The players will play a 72-hole individual stroke play tournament. The action is set for August 11th-14th and August 17th-20th.  Qualification will be based on the world rankings as of July 11th, 2016.  There will be a total of 60 players who quality in each of the men’s and women’s events.  Golf betting odds will be available on the Olympics just as they would for a normal PGA or European Tour event.  Odds will range from 5-1 or 6-1 on the favorites to 100-1 or more on the longshots.

One of the sports that used to get a great deal of interest in the Olympics was boxing and it is still an Olympic sport.  Because boxing does not get the type of interest overall it doesn’t attract as much action in terms of betting but that is not all bad because there is a lot more value on the board at the sportsbook on many boxers that are not well known.  Boxing betting odds will be available at the sportsbook for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
